Publish/Update Button At Bottom

This plugin adds a sticky footer which contains a Publish/Update button, a Move to Trash button and a Preview Changes button. It can be hidden or shown using the keyboard if desired.

I don’t have access to a Mac. If you have Mac access and can test the plugin on your various browsers I’d be very grateful. This version is also not responsive. This will be implemented when I have the time!

  • This is how the plugin looks in the Post add/edit screen

  1. Either install the plugin via the WordPress plugin screen or manually upload ‘Publish/Update Button At Bottom’ to the ‘/wp-content/plugins/’ directory
  2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress. There are no Settings (yet!)

I tested in my WordPress 4.9.4 installation and it does work. I guess my only request to improve it is to only add a little opacity on the bottons. Thank you

This is actually something that should be implemented in the WordPress core, because scrolling just to push the publish button is so cumbersome. This solution works fine, however I would prefer a smaller bar. Another nice improvement would be if the scrolling position was remembered.
