Upload the `oomates` folder to `/wp-content/plugins/` or install via the WordPress plugin screen 2. Activate the plugin through the “Plugins” menu 3. Yes. The plugin connects your WooCommerce store to the oomates platform, which provides the AI agent. Sign up at [oomates.com](https://oomates.com). ### Does the plugin work without WooCommerce? The chat widget itself will load on any WordPress site, so oomates can still serve as a conversational assistant for service-based businesses. However, e-commerce features — cart integration, product search, order tracking, discount rules, and marketing automations — require WooCommerce to be installed and active. ### Can I customize the widget appearance? Yes. You can adjust the bubble position (horizontal and vertical offset) from the plugin settings page. Colors, avatar, and welcome messages are configured in your oomates dashboard. ### What data is sent to oomates? Cart operations, order details, and store URL are sent to the oomates backend for AI processing and automation.
